Privacy Policy for the “Cadence Tasks” App

Cadence Tasks is a task app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch by Richard Kuhn (contact: see imprint). The app follows one simple principle: your data belongs to you.
No data collection
The app does not collect, gather or transmit any personal data to the developer or to third parties. There is no user account, no registration, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics SDKs. The app contains no third-party libraries.
Local storage and iCloud
All tasks, projects, areas, tags and notes are stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your device, the app syncs your data through your private iCloud (Apple CloudKit) between your own devices. This data is tied to your Apple Account; the developer has no access to it. Only Apple iCloud is involved as the processor of your Apple Account; Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Optional system permissions
The app only asks for permissions when you actively use a feature:
- Notifications: for local reminders about scheduled tasks. Reminders are scheduled on device; no push servers are used.
- Calendar (full access): solely to show today’s events in the “Today” list. No events are modified, stored or transmitted.
- Reminders: solely for a one-time, one-way import into the app. Nothing in the Reminders app is changed or deleted.
You can revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings; the app remains fully functional without them.
Your rights
Since the developer processes no personal data, there are no records held by the developer to access, correct or delete. You delete your data yourself: in the app (“Settings → Delete all data”) or by uninstalling; iCloud data additionally via your device’s iCloud settings.
