Fristo – Support (English)

Fristo – Support

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Fristo collects expiring and recurring dates in one place — warranties, ID documents, insurance policies, vehicle inspections, household maintenance, contracts and subscriptions — and reminds you in time. The app works without an account and without a server of our own.

Contact

Email us at richard@kuhn.or.at. We usually reply within two business days. It helps to include your iOS version, your iPhone model and a short description of what you expected and what happened instead.

Requirements

iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a deadline?

Tap the plus button, enter a title and pick a date and category. Optionally you can add a repetition (“every 12 months”), reminder lead times, an amount and a photo as a receipt.

When will I be reminded?

Fristo schedules local notifications at the lead times you set per entry — for example 30 days and 7 days before expiry. Notification permission must be granted for this to work (iOS Settings → Notifications → Fristo). With Fristo Pro you can also choose the time of day freely.

What does the free version include?

Up to five active deadlines with one reminder each. Fristo Pro removes the limit and unlocks multiple reminders, photo receipts, the home screen widget, a freely selectable reminder time and the subscription cost overview.

What does the subscription cost overview show?

When you add an amount and a billing interval (monthly, yearly and others) to a deadline, Fristo projects all running costs into a monthly and a yearly total. That gives you one place to see what your contracts and subscriptions cost together. Amounts can be recorded without Pro; the overview itself is a Pro feature.

How do I enable iCloud sync?

Sync runs automatically as soon as you are signed in with your Apple Account and iCloud Drive is enabled for Fristo (iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud). Fristo’s settings screen shows you the current state. Without an iCloud account the app continues to work purely locally — nothing is lost.

A photo is missing on my second device.

That is intended and not a bug: iCloud sync transfers your deadlines but not photo receipts. Images stay only on the device where you added them. The editor tells you when a receipt is stored on another device.

I bought Pro but the app doesn’t show it.

Open the settings and tap Restore Purchases (the button is also in the top right of the purchase screen). Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you purchased with.

How do I cancel the subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Fristo. You can stop the renewal there. A cancelled subscription remains active until the end of the paid period.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual entries directly in the app. To remove everything, delete the app from your device; any iCloud copy can be removed in the iOS settings under Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Privacy

Fristo collects nothing and transmits nothing to us. Details in the Fristo privacy policy.
